Beautiful Cross-Eyed Husky Cruelly Abandoned by Breeder Finds Forever Home

Jubilee is a unique little pooch who’s always been shy around strangers, but behind that timid exterior hides a sweet, affectionate dog who wants nothing more than to be loved for who she is.

About two years ago, Jubilee was surrendered to a rescue shelter in New Jersey after her breeder claimed he couldn’t sell her because she was “weird-looking”. Unfortunately, she was born with a cross-eyed and constant “surprised” look, due to a congenital issue with her eyelids. This has, unfortunately, made her the object of ridicule in the past, however, not everyone agrees.

Jubilee spent years languishing unwanted in a shelter, failing to find a forever home, and constantly being faced with projection. However, all of that changed when the rescue center, Husky House, who had been taking care of her had the idea of sharing her sad saga on Facebook.

The post, written from the perspective of Jubilee, is heart-breaking with lines such as “I wish I was beautiful so someone would want me to be their dog,” and “Doesn’t anyone want a funny looking husky? I wish I had a family of my own who could love me even though I’m not pretty.”

It was heartbreaking to read…

Much to Husky House’s surprise, the post struck a chord with many, quickly going viral, and as of today it has been shared more than 45,000 times so far and received upwards of 25,000 comments, mostly from people with nothing but positive things to say about Jubilee’s unique looks.

The post went viral and was flooded in loving comments from people expressing their love for Jubilee and wishing to adopt her.

“We are overwhelmed with the responses, love and support shown on her post,” a rep for Husky House told The Dodo. “We are so happy to see that everyone feels she is as special as we always knew she was!”

They showered Jubilee in love and affection, and many commented that she’s not ugly – she’s beautiful just the way she is.

“She’s a little shy at first, but if you offer her a treat she’s your best friend!” Husky House said. “She’s a very sweet dog and loves people once she warms up.”

Having being rejected countless times in the past, Jubilee tends to be a tad wary around strangers who, too, might judge her as “weird” just because of the way she looks, but she’s as friendly as can be.

Jubilee’s fortunes soon changed for the better, thanks to the unending commitment her rescuers. After many adoption applications, she was matched up with her forever family!

In an update on the original post, Husky House wrote:

“Thanks to everyone who shared Jubilee’s story. She has found her forever home with previous Husky House adopters and joins her new fur-siblings in a wonderful new life!

We’re so happy that Jubilee finally got her happy ending. Now she has a wonderful family who loves her and can remind her that she is perfect just the way she is and that she will always be beautiful to them.
