How to brush your dog’s teeth?

Let’s talk all about dog toothbrushing!

❓How to choose a toothbrush?

You should get your dog their very own personal one with soft bristles. Make sure that the shape will allow you to get to all the areas that are hard to reach.

The most important factor when choosing a toothbrush is the size of your dog 🐕

❌Because the brush must be completely safe, a usual human one is not good for this purpose, because its bristles are going to be too rough.

❓How to choose toothpaste?

Just like with the brush, you can’t use usual human toothpaste. Choose the one that is meant specifically for dogs.

Teach your dog to let you brush his/her teeth from a young age and do a little at-home dental check-up weekly. If you notice that your dog’s teeth are covered with brown or yellow plaque, if there’s redness, sore spots, that the gums are friable or bleeding, you should always visit a vet, because these symptoms might be caused by such diseases as dental calculus or periodontitis 😣
