Loyal Service Dog Refuses To Leave Mom’s Hospital Bed After Saving Her Life

Shauna Darcy got Ruby as a service dog to help facilitate her tension, gloom, and agoraphobia. What she didn’t expect was for Ruby to end up being an unbelievably faithful buddy who was happy to stay by her regardless.

As Darcy said, “While she was training to be a service dog I noticed that she started picking up on changes in my heart rate and would act funny — for example, paw at me, try to get my attention, get on top of me, etc.”

Choosing to listen to Ruby’s signals, Darcy went to the doctor, just to find she had medical problems she didn’t know about – including uncommon heart condition called vascular Ehlers-Danlos disorder. Ruby realized something wasn’t right before Darcy did, and as an assistance dog, she made a point to make Darcy aware of her cardiovascular issues.

Ruby hers Darcy consistently to observing her heart rate and circulatory strain, besides keeping her quiet during panic attacks and getting her drugs. This astounding dog even assists Darcy with conveying goods, gets dropped things, and snatch things that she can’t generally reach. She is even prepared in profound weight treatment!

“When I pass out she gets on top of me and applies all her pressure on me and licks my hands and face until I come around,” Darcy stated.

Ruby is always there for Darcy every day no matter what happens.

Actually, she even saved her life! Ruby started alarming Darcy that something wasn’t right. However, Darcy had no clue about what it could be since she was feeling fine. In any case, she confided in Ruby and required rescue.

“It turns out my heart was going into atrial fibrillation,” Darcy stated. “By the time the paramedics came, I was in pain and barely conscious.”

As she was being taken to the hospital, Darcy understood that Ruby had saved her life.

Also, her commitment to Darcy didn’t end there. Indeed, even while Darcy was oblivious in the hospital, Ruby would not walk out on her – remaining with her in the hospital bed and squeezing her body against hers.

In their hospital stay, there were a lot of people who said hello to Ruby and meet the very friendly dog. Ruby was glad to meet all the new people. But, she never wandered a long way from Darcy’s side. The steadfast dog rushed to show Darcy exactly the amount she is admired.

And Ruby doesn’t go underestimated by Darcy as she knows well, how much she does for her, and is so thankful to her dog friend.

“I wouldn’t be alive without her,” Darcy said.
