Researchers at Emory University came up with the sweetest results when they decided to scan dogs’ brains. Dogs -as we all know- love their owners a lot, but they also see their human parter as their family and they want to get emotional support more than they do with other dogs.
The scans showed that the scent of a dog’s human parent simulated their “rewards center,” which means that they consider their human existence like a treat. Moreover, they work hard to get and give our affection. They also need to interact with people who share those emotions with them.
They are very wired to expect humans for emotional support just like an infant does as well. When horses or cats get scared, they escape from humans, but when dogs are afraid, they escape by running to their owner for safety like a baby.
